This month marked another milestone for Organic Cotton Colours and our OCCRegenerative® Brazil program as we deepened our work alongside the resilient cotton-growing communities of Itatuba and Salgado de São Félix in Paraíba.
Our partners at EMPAER PB and EMPAER Itabaiana carried out a technical field visit ahead of the next planting window. This assessment focused on evaluating underground dam infrastructure, improving water access with support from SARA Technology, and delivering 300kg of seeds to local farmers, equipping them for a fruitful season ahead.

With the active involvement of the local government and long-standing community partnerships, our regenerative cotton project continues to grow in both scale and spirit. One of this season’s highlights is the planting of our signature, naturally color-grown Ruby cotton in the Água de Acauã settlement, located in Itatuba, PB. This unique fiber emerges from the soil with its beautiful color already intact so that no synthetic dyes are required.

We also celebrated another step forward in regenerative innovation: EMPAER technician Ricardo Farias held a training session on how to produce biofertilizers and natural pesticides, empowering farmers in the Sítio Novo dos Ritas, Itabaiana community with agroecological techniques.
These knowledge-sharing sessions are part of the Paraíba Cotton Program’s commitment to environmentally and socially responsible farming.

Every seed planted, every dam reinforced, and every training delivered contributes to something greater than cotton alone. These grassroots efforts reflect a deep commitment to regenerating both the land and livelihoods—creating a fiber system that supports soil health and uplifts rural communities.
